third marking period

Block #1 = 8' x 5' x 5'

When starting to use the new software SketchUp8 it seemed pretty confusing but then when you knew the measurements everything got much easier. To start off this assignment we had to use a rectangle object we could make it any size at the beginning because then with the tape measure tool we could insert the length

         *************************************************************************

Block #2 = 8' x 5' x 5'

To complete this assignment we had a block of the size the height of 8ft and the length and wight of 5 ft. We used the measuring tape to get those exacts measurements then we overlap them with the pencil tool. The pencil tool allows us to select the line drawn with the measurement tool. We all was outlined the push/pull was selected to leave an open space.
       *******************************************************************************

 Block #3 = 9' x 4' x 6' (l x w x h)

For this block we used a height of 6ft and a length of 9ft and a width of  4ft. We use the tape measurement tool and the pencil. The push and pull was used in certain ways like half way to make the popping out L.
      *******************************************************************************

Block #4 = 7' x 6' x 2' (l x w x h)

For this block we had to create an ordinary 3D rectangle but with specific measurements. A length of 7 feet, a width of 6 feet, and a height of 2 for Certain part of the image.
 *******************************************************************************

Block #5 = 8' x 2' x 5' ( l x w x h)

This was a pretty complex box due to the fact that certain parts had to be cut and some we're left at specific measurements using the measuring tape.
 ********************************************************************************

Block #6 = 8' x 5' x 6' (l x w x h)

Block #6 was of multiple steps but was also easy. For this block there was lots of pull/push tool used. The height and length has to be marked in order for the pushing in to adjust correctly because if it wasn't then that would lead to the whole side of the block to push in.
 *******************************************************************************

Block #7 = 8' x 5' x 6' (l x w x h)

Block 7 was set up to be of different heights it was a little complicated to set up each length and push/pull because certain parts push in together.
 *******************************************************************************

Block #8 = 8' x 5' x 6' ( l x w x h)

This block was much more complicated then the others , there were more cutting off (push/pull tool) needed. One difficult part about this block was trying to keep on side of the sides still while the other hand to be pushed in.
 *********************************************************************************

Block #9 = 9' x 4' x 6' ( l x w x h)

For this block we started to create a slanted side. The way I did it was figure out the height of the slanted side then the length , and then I would estimate as must as I can for the slanted tape measure. The prime colors were use to label solid straight side and then the slanted side was colored in a mixture of the two prime colors.

*********************************************************************************

Block #10 = 11' x 3' x 6' (l x w x h)

For this block the way I set up my strategies was to divide the sides by two and the push/pull what was needed. I colored my block slanted side purple because it was a mixture of the Dolores red on the side of the block and blue on the top.

 *********************************************************************************

Block #11 = 8' x 5' x 6' (l x w x h)

Block #12 = 9' x 4' x 6' ( l x w x h)
Both of these blocks took so much work at first it seemed easy due to the fact that we had practice in 10 other blocks but for these there was no estimation. The new way to created the slanted side was looking for the slope.

23: Bungalow via Google Sketch Up

Iso View For this view we needed a lot of patience because the measurements had to be placed correct. The fencing and color of the wood gave a nice detail into the iso view.

Front View  The front view was pretty easy due to the fact there was only pushing and pulling needed.

Back View  The back view of the house needed details so what i added was a deck and a pool with some stairs. It was easy to build those because the only thing needed was adding or pulling the objects.

Left side View The left side was like the back small details i added a door and the door nob because that were the people are going to get out to enter the pool.

Right Side View  The right side was probably one of the hardest part. Although there was instructions the hard part was adding the windows to make it seem 3D.

Assignment #24 3D glass view

With clear instruction from https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6mLFlAk3ac4mcnYKjyKJ2bT0rtRz4A14CECR3lCdvnaKz-4jIGrnB7roJvts_D9I5xrazqtmHx4U0GVksshKqauxKxaU6NA0gqNxwDVkz6F8uWe7J8NB26g_G9Bb2UjpjDT8pm9Keznu3/s1600/3d_anaglyph_art_tutorial_by_ryytikki-d345lnm.png this assignment was a 5 minute task. There were easy steps.

Assignment #25
For this assignment we used the link http://www.photoshop-plus.co.uk/2011/10/05/learn-how-to-create-a-simple-glowing-animation/. Getting the clear instruction in how to make a glow button.

Assignment #26

For this test a lot of sets were needed. For more clear instruction you can visit http://www.photoshop-plus.co.uk/2011/09/21/learn-how-to-create-your-very-own-showcase-room/#more-648. Photo shop is an organize software that allowed many layers to be used in order for neat work. We had to make lots of group folders in order to organize the layers. To insert the images displayed we used google images and then used the magic wand tool to deleted the white background of the image. Once the background was deleted we selected the image then copied and past into the show case. Using Ctrl+t we set the image to the right size.

This brochure was a easy assignment it was just a lay out of our class schedule and images.

second marking period (11-20)

11- flyer made with Photo Shop

For this assignment we had to make a flyer for a club in our school. We used different types of fonts and edited them. Photo Shop tool bar helped create a gradient background and a better text view.
*******************************************************************************

12- Texture With Layer Modes

We selected a spring dress then we clipped a lace texture onto the dress. If you would like to try it go to

http://www.tutorialboard.net/texture-layer-modes/ . ********************************

13. Mimicking the Change one thing POSTER

To do this assignment I opened up a new photo shop page. Then I applied a gradient background color of my choice. After i had the background i searched for a junk food image(Big Mac) and for a healthier choice like salad. After I opened up the images I magnetic lasso the burger then placed the image of the salad on top of the lassoed burger. I then used the outer glow and played around with the options to make the images have a effect and stand out more. Lastly I made a reason why salads are better then frozen meat.
*********************************************************************************

To do this assignment we used the instructions on http://www.tutorialboard.net/create-a-painted-effect-look-with-displacement-maps-in-photoshop-cs4/ .*****************************************************
14b - Mask Creation
For this assignment we used the same website as the displacement map. Although in this assignment we had to created a mask for our face only and we used the erasing tool in order to make our eyes and mouth visible. To make our mark look realistic we used the smudge tool and extended the colors to small blanks. If you want to try this just follow the directions in http://www.tutorialboard.net/create-a-painted-effect-look-with-displacement-maps-in-photoshop-cs4/
*********************************************************************************
15.

Using SMART FILTERS in Photoshop for dynamic adjustments.

This is an easy task for clear instructions  visit the website http://www.tutorialboard.net/understanding-and-using-smart-filters-in-photoshop-for-dynamic-adjustments/.This smart filtering helps editing come out better edited.Normal filtering and smart filtering have a difference like smart filtering offers adjustment without compromising any pixel data. Smart filtering lets us outer the filter. With this filter we can add or take out any parts we want to edit.
********************************************************************************
16. Quick Masking to add a desire effect

In Photoshop you can make selections in many different ways but if you are looking to select those small details and be very neat than this easy to follow tutorial will get you up to date. This website can make many effect look just right for you. If interested just follow these instruction http://www.tutorialboard.net/using-a-quick-mask-to-make-a-detailed-selection/ what is quick Masking? why bother if I can just select with marquees or lasso tool?
Quick masking is a mode you are in when wanting to make certain selections. This a better mode to use because you can capture the smallest part and edit them unlike with lasso tool or marquees you just select certain parts.

17 Soft Filtering Skin tones.
For this assignment we got simple and clear steps from http://www.tutorialboard.net/add-a-soft-focus-effect-to-make-a-portrait-glow/. This effect makes your skin so much lighter and smoother. It makes your skin look 10 times better. It help your eyes pop out more.  we added a couple of things to the original picture to get this "glow" - what were the they? and what and at what layer did you take away to create the final effect?
In order to obtain this picture edited we use photo shop and its filters. We converted the image into smart filters in order to start editing. Our image then changed from normal to screen giving us a lighter filter. That made our image clearer and smoother.

For this assignment we used a new program called Adobe Illustrator to create a USB drive with just simple tools and gradient capacities. http://www.tutorialboard.net/create-realistic-pendriveas-adobe-illustrator/ gives and awesome tutorial way on how to create this flash drive. Adobe Illustrator and Photo shop have in common the text tool and the gradient tool. There select tool is the same too as well as the line tool .

19a: Draw out your last name in Illustrator

This was one of the easiest assignments. We were able use any tool we wanted the tool we used more was the line segment tool. With this tool we made straight lines and also curved lines. The easy part about this task was we could copy and paste the segment in order for the image to look perfect. This free hand task was very fun we have graph lay out that we can use later on in our math class.
This task was assigned to prepare us for our phone test. Its pretty easy once you reread the instructions and follow them carefully. For this assignment we used the division of minus front and the use of divide. The good part about having a different color on top of the solid shape is you can actually see what you "cropped" out.
20. PHONE TEST

Day 1 steps 1-6 These steps were easy the only things you needed to do was follow the clear instruction the website gave you.
Day 2 steps 7-14 Most of these steps required lots of gradient and lots of rounding and forming new shaped. In porder to make every detail of your moble phone perfect you had to pay very close attention to the selceted objects you had.
Day 3 steps 15-23 We used what we learned in assignment 19b to make the outline of the buttons. These steps were easy because we already knew what to do. We knew that we had to use minus front and divide.
Day 4 steps 24-28 These simple four steps required a lot of attention. One simple erros would lead you to star your number keys all over again. I learned an easy way to make rows and colums without doing them one by one. Illustrator has Distort & Transform to make different types of rows. The only step that took time was step 28b which was to add all numbers and letters one by one. But so far these were the easiest steps.
Day 5 steps 29-32 The last day of our phone test was simple. The only step that was confusing was step 29 i didnt know which button exactly was i suppose to select in order to form a gradient mesh that were moved to show a diffence in the color. Other then that the grouping of parts was easy.

This extra credit was a multi-step assignment it was very fun and productive. Although it took time for the small detailed i learned many new things. Its pretty crazy how shapes and effects can lead to objects. With some clear instructions from "How to create an easy living room" youll have no problem to create this. http://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-create-an-easy-living-room-scene-in-illustrator--vector-24995 <-- for instructions.
